We offer the full spectrum of fertility services ranging from initial fertility testing and diagnosis to advanced treatments, such as IVF and associated procedures. Our IVF success rates far exceed the national averages and are among the highest in the nation.
Our Texas fertility clinic offers diagnostic evaluations to determine the cause
of infertility, and/or recurrent pregnancy loss, as well as the full range of therapeutic options.
Our infertility clinic staff includes highly trained reproductive endocrinologists, infertility specialists. Dr. Samuel Chantilis and Dr. Karen Lee staff the Dallas, Texas fertility clinic. Dr. Chantilis is Board Certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and Dr. Lee is board eligible.
Among the fertility services offered at both of our Texas infertility clinic locations is an active donor egg program. Our program is one of the oldest and largest in the state of Texas. Donor egg IVF is a wonderful option for women who cannot use their own eggs in an IVF cycle. Our donor egg IVF success rates greatly exceed the national averages. When a donor's eggs are used the success rates generally coincide with the age group of the donor.
Assisted reproductive technologies are not always needed to establish a successful pregnancy. In fact, approximately 80% of couples achieve pregnancies with therapies including surgery, medication, and/or intrauterine insemination (IUI).
IVF Cycle Monitoring at the Dallas Fertility Clinic Location
When a woman undergoes an in vitro fertilization cycle (IVF), she receives injections, usually daily, of gonadotropin hormone (FSH), which stimulates the ovaries to produce multiple eggs. She also usually receives either Lupron or Ganirelix to "down regulate" her "hormone system" which prevents premature ovulation. As healthy follicles develop they begin to produce increasing amounts of estrogen until mature and "ovulated".
IVF patients must come to our Dallas fertility clinic location for routine monitoring and FSH dosage instructions.
One component of cycle monitoring is the transvaginal ultrasound examination. The ultrasound probe is placed into the vagina and the physician visualizes the follicles, the ovaries, the endometrium, and other structures. This allows the physician to determine the number and size of the follicles and their maturity.
Estradiol hormone blood measurements indicate the "health" of the follicles and help prevent a rare serious side effect known as ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. If the estrogen levels become dangerously high, the cycle may have to be cancelled. Both of these examinations are conducted at our Dallas fertility clinic location.
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
IUI is a common first line fertility treatment and is usually "stimulated IUI" meaning gonadotropin hormones are used to stimulate the ovaries. Most of these patients will require monitoring at our Dallas fertility clinic location.
Dependent upon the cause(s) of a couples infertility, IUI is often effective. The number of IUI cycles that should be attempted is "couple dependent" and the usual next step is in vitro fertilization.
